Iron Mountain Tool & Equipment Rental

A commercial equipment-rental facility combining retail, offices, maintenance bays, secure storage, and on-site fueling within a durable metal building shaped by a mountain-town design character.

Project overview

Iron Mountain Tool & Equipment Rental was developed on a broad, nearly level site along the highway in Poncha Springs. The program required a practical commercial facility that could support several different operations in one location, including customer-facing retail space, staff offices, a conference room, a small break room, secure tool and equipment storage, heavy-equipment maintenance bays, and on-site fueling.

A durable metal-building system provides the clear spans and flexibility needed for an active rental and service operation. The exterior was designed to give the facility a more refined mountain-town character through layered roof forms, deep covered walkways, stone accents, timber detailing, and carefully organized proportions. These elements reduce the apparent scale of the building and create a more welcoming public frontage.

The completed facility balances operational efficiency with strong curb appeal. It supports customer service, staff work, equipment storage, maintenance, circulation, and fueling while contributing a well-composed commercial presence along the Poncha Springs highway corridor.
