Salida Urban Terraces
A contemporary downtown Salida triplex pairing durable materials, garage-level functionality, and covered upper terraces to create compact, livable homes in a walkable infill setting.
Project overview
Salida Urban Terraces is a three-unit infill project designed for downtown Salida, Colorado, where compact properties and growing housing needs call for thoughtful density. The architecture breaks the triplex into a clear rhythm of vertical bays and layered materials, using brick at the base, dark horizontal siding, light wall surfaces, and warm-toned accents to create a contemporary composition that still feels grounded in its mountain-town setting.
Each residence is organized vertically, with garage and entry functions at the lower level, main living spaces above, and private bedrooms and outdoor living areas on the upper floors. Covered terraces expand the homes beyond their interiors and create comfortable places to enjoy views, changing weather, and neighborhood life.
The result is a compact multifamily project offering the privacy, storage, and livability often associated with detached homes while supporting a more walkable and efficient pattern of development. Durable materials, efficient planning, and a strong street presence create homes intended for long-term use in a growing mountain community.
